The WIBAULT 283T is a passenger transport aircraft built by the Société des Avions Michel Wibault (founded in 1919). This project was financed by the Chantiers Phénoët, which sometimes led to the aircraft being referred to as the “Wibault-Phénoët.” It is a three-engine, low-wing cantilever monoplane with fixed landing gear, of all-metal construction, with a capacity of 10 passengers and 3 crew members. The 283T is the last aircraft in the 280 series, which first appeared in November 1930 (and was presented at the Paris Air Show that same year). This final version, which made its first flight in 1934 notably featured engine cowlings (absent on earlier versions) as well as increased range. Air France, which was already operating five 282T aircraft, acquired ten 283Ts in 1934. They were used on African, Mediterranean, and Middle Eastern routes, as well as on the European network. Probable scale: 1/20
